Resiliency in Michigan’s Food and Agriculture Industry and the Post-COVID Future
Michigan’s food and agriculture industry continues to be impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, from new guidelines to protect its workforce and food products to managing new and changing supply chains. Both the state and the federal governments have stepped up to support this industry, which accounts for about 17% of Michigan’s employment, with programs and aid. What steps are being taken to currently support the industry and what does the future hold for opportunities to grow the Food and Agriculture industry in Michigan?
Peter Anastor, Director, Agriculture Development Division, Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development
NEW SPEAKER: Kelly Lively, Northern Michigan Regional Coordinator, Office of U.S. Senator Gary C. Peters
