The Great Up North
Northern Michigan, or more properly the Northern Lower Peninsula, is a popular as a tourist destination, resort, and camping area. It is home to several small-to medium-sized cities, lakes and rivers, and a large portion of Great Lakes shoreline. Home to the National Cherry Festival in Traverse City, the region has a significant seasonal population much like other regions that depend on tourism as their main industry.
