Information About Park/Area:

Sault Ste. Marie Community Information – Located at the beginning of Interstate75 and the Soo Locks, Sault Ste. Marie is a town with a rich history.  With a plan to expand broadband services and career technical programming, we are looked to as a prime expansion site.  Developable sites include access to natural gas, cooperatively managed transmission lines, and close proximity to rail and water.  Additionally, the Sault is within a Foreign Trade Zone and is a Redevelopment Ready Community, certified by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation.   The cities of Sault Ste. Marie are connected by the International Bridge, which is one of only three border crossings into Canada from Michigan. With the close proximity of the Twin Saults (approximately two miles) this allows us to continue our close and special relationship with our neighbors to the north.   We are a diverse waterfront community, and we offer a wealth of things to see and do. Year-round recreational activitieshistorical sites, the world-famous Soo LocksTahquamenon Falls, spectacular lighthouses, and pristine natural environments.
